block streams on game directories

This is a guide on how to block streams from showing up on game directories or in just chatting sections on Twitch.tv.  Please note this only works for users who are logged in and are using the recommendations sorting option.

Step 1:

Make sure your logged into your Twitch account.

Step 2:
Click on Browse and then go to the category, then check to see if sort by is set to "Recommended For You".  If it is not change it to this setting.

Step 3:
Find the channel or stream that you want to block and then press the 3 vertical bars. Then click on the option called "Not Interested".

As soon as you select not interested, that streamer will be permanently blocked from showing up on the game directory for your account while on recommendations.

If you want to undue the block, go to your settings page, here is a direct link: https://www.twitch.tv/settings/recommendations and then remove the stream from the channel feedback section.

How to check for copyright strikes made against your channel!

How to know if your twitch channel has received any copyright strikes? Twitch has recently updated their creator dashboard section to display if your channel has any copyright strikes.  To see if any violation is currently on your channel you have to follow these simple steps!

Step 1:
Make sure your logged into Twitch, if not log into your account.

Step 2:
Go to your creator dashboard, by clicking on your profile picture and then selecting creator dashboard.

Step 3:
Now click on content, then on video producer.

Step 4:
If you have any copyright strikes, a big panel on the right will show up with details. Here is a screenshot example of this:

If your channel has no copyright strikes, the panel will still show up and list zero strikes. Make sure to have the width of the window big enough.

 
Additional note, you will now be also be sent a notification in your Twitch inbox on any DMCA notification.

How to reverse permitted terms?

If you are looking for how to revert a permitted term, here is a quick guide on how to do just that on twitch!

Step 1:

Go to your creator dashboard while being logged into your twitch account.

Step 2:

Click on settings, then moderation and go to the automod control section. Find the section labeled "Permitted terms and phrases and click on that to open up all the active terms.

Step 3:

Find the term you want to remove and click on the delete button.
