Twitch Revenue Dashboard

Advertisements / Subscription / Bit Income
  • For every 1000 Impressions (not blocked by Adblockers) you earn an average of 3.00
Twitch runs 1 Ad during the start of a stream and another at the end.
    • Partners have the option to trigger mid-roll ads every 8 minutes in various blocks.
  • For you to make minimum wage you need roughly 2,420 Ad Impressions Per Hour
    • For 8 Hours per day that is 19,360 Ad Impressions
Note, video ad time play is also taking into account, but I'm not sure how to calculate that metric, I'm leaving that out and just keeping basic ad impressions.
  • If you go by just base entry sub of 4.99@50% split and only that you will need to have around 503 to meet the monthly minimum wage amount.
    • That’s about 16 or so every day for 30 days.
  • For bits and only bits you have to get 125,600 each month.
Some issues you have to take into account for advertising income. First problem is viewers who use ad blockers, Twitch has recently updated the advertising servers to bypass many blocking apps but its not perfect.  Other issues many streamers do not account is for geo viewers, if viewers are located in countries with no advertising inventory (some are discounted ad rates ie 1.00 per 1k ad views), you cant account for that; nor can you account for general advertising inventory shortages. Advertising inventory shortages from my understanding happen alot during off advertising spending months or generally during big platform wide concurrent peeks. - review the best months to stream

Check your broadcaster stats, run it against the above basic data and see if you have at least minimum wage type of potential before going full-time.
