One of the biggest problems streamers face these days on the Twitch platform is the proliferation of channel bots. The chat bots join thousands of channels collecting data, views, followers and confuse unsuspecting new streamers. New streamers believe viewers listed in "users in the chat" are people consuming the content when they are just doing some data harvesting and fishing for follows. 
Some of these bots in our opinion are purposely being placed to get new streamer to click on them and visit their channel page. Which then runs ads or auto hosts another channel in the attempt to boost views.
It is highly recommended that you ban all of them from being listed in your channel. To do that go to your channels chat box and type /ban channel. Replace the channel with all the below listed bots which will be periodicity updated. You can do this right now even if your channel is offline. Doing it before you go live will prevent them from showing in the user list.

DeleteProStonerYT is an alright dude, not a bot. If they are heading to your stream they are because he raided or hosted you and they were sitting in his channel. I know the guy, he is innocent.

ReplyDeleteThe only account among these that I know uses the info they collect for something positive is Commanderroot. They operate several tools that Twitch has not yet made readily available, like a mass force unfollow.

ReplyDeleteMy channel runs 24/7 on Twitch, I am able to see bots that join the channel and just sit in it for days upon days, these bots Do Not Need to be in the chat list. One of the main reason why these bots like COMMANDERROOT do this is to get people to click over to there channel page.
DeleteRight now on Twitch, this exact thing is being exploited by bad actors for IP Grabbing and other hate related events. Those bots do not stay in channel for days and days..

Deletecommanderroot isnt a bad bot!! its used to help manage followers and can be used to mass ban bot accounts! and it only shows up if you use it

Deletecommanderroot used to work for twitch, is still a twitch partner and will be your #1 go to guy for help with actual bots (the malicious kind) as al his tools are twitch approved.
i confirm commanderroot is a twitch tool you can use to mass ban the bots that follow your channel (very useful when several thousands malicious bots follow you at the same time), however, banning it from your twitch channel doesn't prevent you from using it when needed :)

Explain why Stygian_Styx is like currently in 3000 channels, No Person is in 3000 channels at the same time, Only Bots can / will do that.

Im gonna send this link to twitch support asking for something to be done because its not OK to just be banned because some rando said to. as iv said twitch support has already seen my script, they have unsuspended my account and know that i collect no data and cannot chat using it. but i am able to toss random bits to streamers all over twitch due to my name being there and Coil_Twitch_Bot reading it.
again as i said, i started all this to network and help other streamers. hell i got a discord with more resources in it then streamscheme.

ReplyDeleteRight I've just had a follow from some one called ytjzmeat and they did actually appear in my follow numbers. But I'm thinking it's very suspicious as I wasn't streaming at the time and also the account had only been created today. Reported, blocked and banned.

At most the API can return if a channel is live, what game they're playing, and what the tags are... This is so ignorant and misinforming... Like it's literally documented, if you're gunna slander thousands of peoples names.. At least be educated in the subject.
First off, listing names of bots, its not slander, a bot is a bot, nothing that I have said causes any harm to any bot if they are banned from what your saying..

To find out if a channel is a bot i use the site : https://twitchinsights.net/bots There you can see all the twitch accounts that are in 100 or more twitch channels at the same time. No human is in more than 100 channels at the same time, so it must be a bot

Hey I've banned all off them and the list of lurking viewers (when offline) cut by half, I still got:
