Amazon.com showing up in "Views from Outside of Twitch"

If you so happen to see amazon.com show up in your stats section on the dashboard under "Views from Outside of Twitch" and wonder why is this happening, here is most likely the reason.

On amazon sales pages for certain games, they have included a section called "Watch LIVE gameplay" which if you expand will show a embedded player of a twitch channel that is playing that game.

Here is a screenshot of the "twitch watch live gameplay" bar on the amazon.com sales page for guild wars 2.

When you expand the section it looks like the following:

twitch embedded on amazon
It will pick a Twitch channel that has over 15 viewers (I believe this is how it works, most likely top channel and needs over 15 viewers to get listed in API etc) and it will show them on this page as a twitch embedded player. Anyone viewing from amazon will then be counted in the stats section under views from outside of twitch.

Some games that are currently showcasing this twitch watch live gameplay bar include but not limited to the following:
  • The Sims 4
  • Guild Wars 2
  • Final Fantasy XIV
  • New World
  • Apex Legends

Other games may have this bar but we are not able to check for them at this current time of posting.  Did you happen to have views from amazon? If so fill free to list what game and when it occured, thanks!

Can you sell raids?

Are you able to sell the twitch raid function to other channels for money? We were not exactly sure so a message was sent to twitch partner support asking exactly that and here is the response.

In the support ticket it was titled "Are Raids sellable to 3rd parties?" with the following image attached showing a high ccv channel allegedly doing exactly that for a G4 channel.

Selling Twitch Raids

Tweet source - link

Washington post - link

Twitch support emailed back the following:

"Thanks for reaching out about this.

In order to get this investigated as quickly and effectively as possible, please use the report system directly on Twitch. The report system will inform our Moderation team about the issue so it can be properly addressed in a timely and efficient manner.

To file a report, click the "⋮" icon on the user’s profile page and select the “Report” option. Within the report, please include as much information as you can in a well-formatted report. The easier it is for Moderators to read, the easier it is to deal with!"

This pretty much means that selling raids it not something you should do and that you can get reported, which may result in suspended account and IP bans from twitch for breaking the terms of service.

For more information on raids, check out our previous article on it here: https://twitch-tv-tips.blogspot.com/2016/04/hosting-guide.html

best twitch view bot

If you're searching for the best twitch view bot, it's important to know that using such bots is against Twitch's terms of service. Viewbotting involves artificially inflating your channel's viewership numbers by using automated bots, which can ultimately cause more harm than good for your channel.

The Risks of Viewbotting

While it may seem tempting to use viewbots to increase your viewership and get more exposure on the platform, there are significant risks involved. For one, Twitch takes viewbotting very seriously and actively works to detect and ban users who engage in this behavior. If you're caught using a viewbot, your account could be permanently banned from the platform.

Viewbotting also doesn't actually help your channel in any meaningful way. While it may temporarily boost your viewership numbers, these bots aren't real viewers who will engage with your content, follow your channel, or support your community. This means that your channel's engagement metrics, such as chat activity and followers, will remain low, and your channel may even be penalized by Twitch's algorithm for having low engagement rates.

Growing Your Viewership Organically

Instead of resorting to viewbotting to grow your Twitch channel, it's much better to focus on building a community of engaged viewers and growing your viewership organically. This means creating high-quality content that resonates with your audience, interacting with your viewers and building a community, and promoting your channel through social media and other channels.

By putting in the work to grow your viewership organically, you'll build a loyal following of engaged viewers who will support your channel, share your content, and help you grow your audience over time.

Check out our blogs many guides and articles on how to build a organic viewership on twitch.

See: How to get twitch viewers

Conclusion

Ultimately, using Twitch view bots is not worth the risk or the potential harm it can cause to your channel. Instead, focus on building a community of engaged viewers and growing your viewership organically through hard work and dedication. By doing so, you'll create a strong and sustainable Twitch channel that can thrive for years to come.
